People often wonder what they would do if they were the last person on Earth. Some would probably give up while others would have a grand old time. Still, others would make the most of the situation and head off to renowned places like the White House, which is where our titular "Last Man on Earth" and his erstwhile wife appears to have ended up in season two.

At the end of "The Last Man on Earth's" first season, Phil (Will Forte) and Carol (Kristen Schaal) were headed off to parts unknown. Phil was initially the only one who set off, after Carol forced him out of the house when she found out that he almost left Todd (Mel Rodriguez) in the desert. But she felt bad about the incident and eventually left Tucson with him in search of a new place to settle.

A short promo clip treated fans of "The Last Man on Earth" to a glimpse of at least two places that the dysfunctional couple would eventually end up in next season, the White House and Carol's old home in Delaware.

The video shows Phil being his usual destructive self, playing full-contact hockey inside the White House while more of Carol's past, including that of her knitting group, is revealed. The trailer also teases viewers of an impending kiss between the two.

Season two of the Emmy-nominated comedy promises of new challenges, more exciting episodes and even more poignant moments between the ex-couple. Spoilers have hinted at Phil giving Carol an unexpected but sweet surprise. What that surprise will be is something that fans of the show should wait for.

The upcoming season will also see some new characters who were able to survive the planet-wiping virus. One of those said survivors is Phil's brother, an astronaut who was in space when the deadly virus attacked and who's set to be portrayed by "Saturday Night Live's" Jason Sudeikis.

The saga of "The Last Man on Earth" is set to continue on Fox in Sept. 27.
