For George R.R. Martin, The "Game of Thrones" series premiere is already approaching in the first quarter of 2016 and since there have been speculations going on that Jon Snow will return in season 6 in the HBO series, Martin doesn't have much of a choice but to continue writing "The Winds of Winter" with Jon Snow in it.

Martin recently told Entertainment Weekly in April of this year that he aims to release the book before the airing of "Game of Thrones" season 6 next year. He even said, " I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews—anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done." The statement has given hope to the readers of the fantasy book series "A song of Ice and Fire" that its 6th novel titled "The Winds of Winter" will be out soon. There was a rumor that it will be released on Feb. 23, 2016 basing on the posted article in Yibada.

The rumored release date might not be possible because there is also a different factor why there will be a delay in the release date of the book. It is affected by the publisher's timeline according to Wars and Politics of Ice and Fire. The publishers usually take four to eight months before they can have the book ready for sale in the public. The publisher explained that if Martin is able to meet his own deadline in writing the book, it won't be released in February even with accelerated publishing.

Meanwhile, in the first official trailer of "Game of Thrones" season 6, it can be seen that Jon Snow is unmistakably alive. Readers of the epic fantasy series are really excited to know when will the book be released.
