Stellan Skarsgård, who played Dr. Erik Selvig in two of the previous "Thor" movies, will not be back to reprise his role in "Thor 3."

The actor confirmed such through in an interview with Den of Geeks, saying he has a "five-film deal" with Marvel, and he has one more film to go. He was referring to the fact that he has already appeared in four Marvel movies - "Thor," "Thor: Dark World," "The Avengers," and "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

When asked if it was "Thor Ragnarok," the actor revealed that "Thor" is not one of them but gave a hint that it could be another "Avengers" movie, which is "Avengers: Infinity War."

In "Thor 2," Dr. Selvig had gone a little crazy because Loki (Tom Hiddleston) was manipulating his mind to study the Tesseract. In "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Loki used it to bring the Chitauri army to invade Earth.

A spoiler about the upcoming "Thor" movie reveals that a major character might die. The character in question is Heimdall, portrayed by Idris Elba, the keeper of Asgard's Bifrost bridge.

According to a spoiler report from Latino-Review, Heimdall will be killed by Hela, the Underworld goddess, who will be played by Cate Blanchett. Some speculations as to how Hela will enter the story say that she and Loki will have an alliance, although the reason for that hasn't been revealed yet.

It is also said that Hela will destroy Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) magical hammer, the Mjolnir.

The news outlet further state that Heimdall will reappear at the end of the movie together with the souls of other fallen Asgard heroes to wage a final battle against Hela and the army of the dead.

As for the other cast members, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson have been confirmed to play their roles as Bruce Banner/The Hul and Nick Fury, respectively.

"Thor 3" is directed by Taika Waititi and is slated to be shown on Nov. 3, 2017.
