There have been a number of rumors about the "Titanfall 2" game but none of them have provided much information about its release date. However, this week, the internet was set alight when a toy company that has been tasked with developing action figures for the game hinted at a release date.

Importantly, the action figures for the "Titanfall 2" are being created by McFarlane Toys and they are due to arrive sometime in winter 2016. However, as with other toys that are tied to games, it is likely that these offerings are going to arrive alongside the game. Polygon states that McFarlane Toys hinted at such in a press release recently and noted that both would arrive simultaneously.

However, soon after the press release was picked up and widely reported by a number of gaming websites. The publisher Electronic Arts released an official statement of their own. It addressed the leaked release date and stated that it has not set plans for the game's release in stone. This has caused many industry analysts to fall back on a previous assumption that the game could arrive anytime between October 2016 and March 2017 if all goes well and it is not hit with any delays.

As of now, Respawn has hinted that "Titanfall 2" is going to be a multiplatform offering and will come with a single-player campaign that is much more robust that anything that was featured in the original game. In addition to this, there are indications that spinoff games will be created for mobile devices and a television series based on the game could also be in the works.

Earlier when the release date of "Titanfall 2" was featured in the news, it arrived thanks to the financial statements made public by Electronic Arts. In this statement, the company indicated that the game would release anytime between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017.
