'Tom Clancy's The Division: Underground' DLC release news: First expansion released for PS4 modules

(Tom Clancy's The Division website)The first expansion for "Tom Clancy's The Division: Underground" is now available for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 consoles.

PlayStation 4 may finally download the first expansion of "Tom Clancy's The Divison: Underground." It was released on Aug. 2 for PS4 consoles and earlier, June 28, for the Xbox One and PC.

The expansion enables players to explore what's underneath New York's streets as the map leads to new subways, tunnels, and sewers. Players must stop the enemy from causing destruction from below. Players may choose to go through Hell's Kitchen alone or with a group to look into rumors about a new Cleaner weapon threat.

The expansion also includes a new incursion called Dragon's Nest, which the enemy knows of. In order to stop them from taking over, elite teams must fight them off. Randomly generated urban dungeons are also added where differents kinds of combat should be performed.

Every battle won comes with bonuses and many other surprises may be gained. Players will also be able to use the traps and other environmental hazards prepared by the enemies, against the enemies.

IGN released their review on the expansion and states that the structure of the game is simple yet functional. There are no new enemy types, instead new environmental hazards are found such as leaking main gas pipes and fallen electrical wires.

An earlier review by Gamespot states that the added incursion, the Dragon's Nest, is not without flaws, but is a strong addition nevertheless. In the Dragon's Nest, speedy remote control cars may penetrate and explode that could cause players with a score below 200 to fall down. The battle also becomes challenging for players because of four simultaneous bosses who appear from any of the four corners of a rooftop. Steering clear of the exploding cars while dealing with the bosses has upped the difficulty. A switch that needs to be flipped also comes with exploding sections of the floor.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" is scheduled to have more expansions this year.
