'True Detective' Season 2: More clues and cast rumors leak online

There is still little known as to what will go down in the next season of True Detective, but clues about major plot details are being leaked online.

True Detective creator Nic Pizzollato, in a past interview, hinted that the next season will focus on crimes and an "occult history" of the US transportation system. If there was really such a thing, Nic Pizzollato is sure to make it more than interesting, just like how he did in the first season of the critically acclaimed HBO show.

"OK. This is really early, but I'll tell you [it's about] hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system," said Pizzollato to website HitFix.

In a past interview, Pizzollato confirmed that there will be more than 2 leads, compared to what he did in the first season.

Another website called Film Divider reported that the first episode will start with the murder of a certain "Ray Caspar," the City Manager of a made-up California City. Pizzollato did confirm that California will be the setting for the new season, but it will be grimy and dark and not at all "Hollywood" like.

Film divider added that the first episode will "involve a corrupt scheme to link North and South California with a high speed train, all in the pursuit of profitable land ownership and lucrative federal grants."

As for lead rumors, Colin Farrell is set to play one of the leads, who will have a cocaine and anger management. Another star that the producers consider for the other lead role is X-Men star, Taylor Kitsch. On who will play the third lead, a female sheriff, is still unknown.
