'True detective' season 2 spoilers and rumors: 52-year-old man found dead on highway with occult symbols, a transportation deal gone awry

"True Detective", HBO's highly popular show that aired its first season in 2014 is currently filming its second season. "True Detective" has been a fan-favorite for a number of reasons right from having an outstanding cast and actors expressing a gamut of emotions to a mind-boggling cinematography to a gripping and explosive storyline.

While the first season stole fans' hearts, the second season is set to do the same with writer Nic Pizzolatto penning the script. Leaks from Liverpool Echo indicate that the story starts with the death of a 52-year-old man named Ben Caspar whose body is found in a secluded stretch on Pacific Coast Highway near Big Sur. He is a corrupt city manager of a fictional California city.

Caspar's chest is etched with satanic symbols and he is murdered in a brutal manner. Caspar's death comes in the midst of a major transportation deal that would forever alter the freeway gridlock in the state. Three law enforcement officers are called upon to investigate Ben Caspar's murder and when those three delve deep into the investigation they find that Caspar was involved in the occult and some pretty rough sex. This seems like an extremely fascinating plotline.

Nic Pizzolatto said in a podcast to Cinema Blend that "right now we're working with three leads and it takes place in California. Not Los Angeles, but some of the much lesser known venues of California. And we're going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambiance of the place, much like we did in Season one."

Vince Vaughn plays the role of a criminal in danger of losing his empire when his business associate gets murdered just when he is trying to legitimize his business, according to KpopStarz. Colin Farrell portrays detective Ray Velcoro who has two bosses: one in a corrupt police department and another is a mobster. Season two is rumored to air in the summer of 2015.
