Fans of Charlie Sheen may soon have a reason to rejoice as a comeback seemed to be probable for his dead character in the CBS sitcom, Two And A Half Men. The rumor came out as Ashton Kutcher may have let it slip in his appearance at The Ellen Show of Sheen's return.

Kutcher was a guest at the Ellen Show and was discussing the series and its coming finale. Ellen asked the question most fans have been wondering about, "Is Charlie coming back?" which left the No Strings Attached star surprised and took him some time before he could shake his head in reply. He coyly added, "If you're working on the Warner Bros. lot, if there's sirens, come save me." The vague response forced Ellen to prod the actor further and repeated her question, "So Charlie comes back?" Kutcher could only laugh. He finally replied, "I didn't say that. Did I say that? If you smell something, I wasn't smoking it."

Sheen's character died in a train accident, which happened in the premiere episode of season 9. Producers of the show axed the actor after his row with showrunner Chuck Lorre. In an interview with Extra TV, Sheen has expressed his desire to return. "I would definitely do it. Yeah, yeah. If they'll have me, I will be there. Yeah, I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans."

Should the return happen, many fans would be delighted as some felt the show lost its charm when the actor left. While not to say that Sheen was carrying the success of the show on his shoulders, many attribute it to the lack of connection between Kutcher and Cryer's characters in the show, as opposed to when Sheen was present. For the moment, fans could only wait until February next year to see if Sheen is indeed, returning.
