The third season premiere of "Under the Dome" is merely hours away and fans can no longer wait for the CBS series to air. Little snippets of how the show will play out have been surfacing and there is no denying their authenticity as they come straight from the horse's mouth. Executive producer, Neal Baer, and lead star, Mike Vogel recently spilled the beans on what can be expected from season 3, based on which, it definitely will be a season of revelations.

"Under the Dome", which first aired on CBS two years ago, is an American science fiction drama based on a novel of the same name written by Stephen King. The show follows the lives of the residents of the tiny town of Chester's Mill after a transparent, indestructible dome cuts them out from the rest of the world.

Season 2 ended in a very mysterious way with the character Melanie returning and making a very ominous statement:

"Follow me, we're going home."

Viewers of the series are convinced that Melanie's statement suggests that season 3 will see the characters finally escaping from the dome. However, recent comments by Naer Baer contradict their assumptions.

In an interview with TV Guide, the showrunner of "Under the Dome" revealed what the third season would be all about and what can be expected to happen when the cast is still trapped.

"(Season 3 would answer) why did the dome come down and who's behind it, or what's behind it? We'll answer those two questions, and go deep into that question and talk about who is responsible in Chester's Mill, who's not, and what this knowledge does to the citizens who are trapped under the dome," said Baer.

Another report in Yahoo.com by Mike Vogel shed some more light on season 3. According to the report, a new bad guy will surface in the upcoming season, throwing everyone for a loop.

"The theme of this year is 'the enemy within.' There is something powerful and terrible happening within the people of Chester's Mill," said Vogel.

It won't be long before fans find out more about the highly anticipated season 3 of "Under the Dome" with the two-hour season premiere set to air on CBS on June 25, 9PM.
