The third season of History Channel's 'Vikings' is set to begin in 2015, and luckily for fans, the 2014 Comic Con served as the perfect platform to reveal the first ever look at Season 3.

The 2-minute trailer was aired at the annual San Diego pop culture event over the weekend, and shows a montage of interesting future happenings in Ragnar Lothbrok's journey.

In Season 2, the legend played by Travis Fimmel, was seen taking over King Horik's position as King of the Danes.

There have been previous reports that the next season will see Ragnar and his men attack Paris, and that's exactly what the trailer shows. It shows a battle between Ragnar's troops against King Charles, as well as scenes that suggest danger for the show's characters.

The trailer also features a narration by the blind seer (played by John Kavanagh) as he foresees what seems to be Ragnar's fate.

The blind seer mentions seeing a river, with two shores and three sides. This could represent the battles that are set to happen in the next season.

According to some details released by show runner Michael Hirst in a past interview, one major villainous character to emerge next season is King Horik's son, Erlendur.

"Erlendur has been impressed by the idea of going to farm in England. And in his pocket he has a handful of mud, earth from England. When Ragnar sees him with this handful of dirt, he knows that he's thinking along the same lines, that they're connected in some way. So he spares him. But, of course, that turns out to be a terrible decision in the end," said Hirst in an interview with the Huffington Post last March, about the Season 2 finale.

There are also sightings of Lagertha, Bjorn, Floki, Helga, and Aslaug in the trailer. The 10-episode third season of Vikings will premiere on 2015, as stated in the trailer.
