'Vikings' season 4B plot spoilers, air date, update: Alex Hogh Andersen discusses role of Ivar the Boneless

It's about time History Channel's hit historical fiction drama TV series "Vikings" returns to the small screens to resume airing the second half of its season 4 and fans are already getting excited for it.
To further amp up the anticipation, series star Katheryn Winnick took to her social media to share a video of herself officially opening the countdown for the airing of "Vikings" season 4B. The clip was later on picked up by the official "Vikings" Facebook page.
"I am starting the official countdown 15 days before 'Vikings' comes to your screens," the actress, who plays the role of the fan-favorite Lagertha, said and added, "Are you ready?"
There's definitely so many things to look forward to when "Vikings" season 4B begins airing. One of these concerns involve finally putting the spotlight on the sons of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) who are now all grown up and like him, seem like they are getting pumped up to see some real-life battlefield action.
A report cited actor Alex Hogh Andersen, the actor who takes on the role of Ivar the Boneless, speaking about his larger role in the upcoming second half of season 4.
According to Andersen, much of the development of his character sprung from his dire need to have a father figure to look up to. Adding to that is the societal pressure he has to face for being born a crippled person in a war-loving Norsemen culture.
"He's a troubled, troubled, young man, really. He's very troubled," Andersen said in an interview with Showbiz Junkies.
"Just to be physically handicapped in a Viking culture, that comes with a lot of challenges and obstacles," he went on to say. "He really needs a father figure, because who doesn't need that? Plus, the fact that he's completely challenged, double as challenged as everybody else."
Nonetheless, Ivar's handicapped state won't hinder him from becoming one of those great Viking names to be ever mentioned in history.
