'The Walking Dead' season 5 episode 12 spoilers: will Alexandria make their group weak? Rick has a plan in 'Remember'

"The Walking Dead" gave viewers a glimmer of hope as Rick's starved, dehydrated and battered group finally made it to a safe-zone. Alexandria is, according to the original comic book series, a safe-zone that Rick's group stay the longest in.

In episode 11, viewers watched as Rick's group interrogated Aaron, the recruiter from Alexandria, and fought against a horde of walkers at night. Rick heard the sounds of children laughing and playing before finally accepting that this place may, in fact, be their new home. In episode 12, audiences will see Rick and his troupe getting accustomed to Alexandria. Aaron provides two furnished houses to Rick's group. Despite the generous housing, a cautious Rick tells his group to sleep in one room in one house since he doesn't trust the community yet. Later, the leader of the community questions his decision for everyone to sleep in one room.

While the group has nice, warm beds, clean sheets and food to eat, they still need to get acclimatized to these living conditions after merely surviving for so many years. Daryl is seen skinning a possum despite having delicious food to eat. Looks like the group has forgotten what it's like to live in a house with security.

Rick and his people start to feel that they will become weak in Alexandria. If they let their guard down, they will become weak and lose their survival instincts.

The safe-zone teaches people how to run from walkers by chaining one in a compound. When it gets loose, Glenn kills it and punches the person who lets it loose. The fact that Alexandria teaches people to run rather than fight walkers also adds to the group's concern of growing weaker.

Fortunately, Rick tells a concerned Carol that if anything happens to the people of the community, their group will take over the place. Also, Carl may be romantically linked to a girl in Alexandria.

"Remember" airs on Sunday, March 1 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
