It has been a while since big changes were made to new models of MacBook Pro and, with the recent advances made in technology, the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is speculated to feature major changes and improvements.

Business Insider gathered that Apple has been busy with the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016. Analyst Ming Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who is known for his accuracy in predicting upcoming gadgets, believes MacBook Pro 2016 will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants that will be slimmer than the already thin designs of the current models. It has been suggested that one way of doing so, new kinds of hinges will be used.

Kuo further speculates that the upcoming laptops will have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor incorporated into the power button. This will allow scanning method verification instead of typing passwords to unlock devices.

Another report the publication has gathered is the use of OLED display strip to replace the "F" keys space usually found on top of keyboards. The OLED strips will not only function the same way as the "F" keys but will allow customization of the functions as well.

The new USB Type-C port will also be incorporated since that kind of port allows multiple external device connections. Aside from being multifunctional, USB Type-C ports also allow faster data transfers.

Macworld gathered rumors that like the feature on the iPhone 7, MacBook Pro 2016 will no longer have 3.5-mm headphone jacks. The publication also points out that the unveiling of macOS Sierra and the release of supposed leaked photos of the MacBook Pro 2016 keypad in progress strengthen the possibility of the OLED bar use.

The new MacBook Pro 2016 is also believed to be compatible with the Apple Pencil, to have a 2304 x 1440 resolution and to operate using Skylake processors.

Apple is still arguably the leader in gadget and devices technology and, while all specifications remain rumors and speculations, it would be safe to say that Apple always makes sure to launch products that boast of functionality and good quality.
