'Witcher 3: Blood and Wine' DLC news: release date may have been leaked by developers

(Steam / The Witcher 3)"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine" DLC may have leaked the release date of May 30 or 31.

Gamers and fans can mark their calendars because it has been reported that "Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" is coming out either May 30 or 31.

This reported leak came from Steam, which initially posted the information about the second DLC. It was quickly put down, but luckily, a user named Wario64 has taken a screenshot and posted the information over on Twitter. Gamers and fans in NeoGaf have since then been in a frenzy over the date. Some say that it's going to be May 31 because the page was quickly removed, but others who are backing Wario64's screenshot mention May 30 because it is clearly stated in the information. Whatever the case, gamers and fans would surely expect an end-of-the-month release date for this anticipated DLC.

Meanwhile, community manager Marcin Momot shared via Twitter a tease mentioning that there will be new information about the upcoming DLC.

"I can already tell you Blood and Wine is a fascinating story, with every sort of twist and turn you'd expect from our writers. Toussaint, the new realm we're creating for the expansion, is unlike anything you've seen in Wild Hunt — carefree and colorful, but your gut never stops telling you that there's some real dark stuff happening underneath all that. We'll be revealing more information in May."

Gamers and fans could put these two information together and board and get lost in the hype train. On the other hand, gamers that are hoping for in-depth content of the DLC may wait until an official release has been made because this is all the information available at the moment. Those who are wondering if new Gwent cards will be featured in the DLC, reports say there are no new cards arriving. Perhaps the developers only focused on the story to keep gamers immersed with the lore of the world.
