With the upcoming October 28 release date on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, WWE 2K15 is expected to bring a more polished game for next generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One.

Owners on last-gen consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360 will not be left behind however and will receive a substantial graphics update.

Moving away from the shoddy visuals of its predecessors, 2K's Community Manager Jared Rea hinted on how the graphics would look like.

"It definitely doesn't look anything like that. A new lighting engine doesn't mean we just cranked up the contrast, it changes the look of the entire game and gives it a much more natural tone. It's not a massive leap, but it goes a long way to making it appear more like what you're seeing on television."

Rea is also adamant to continue with their ideal of not featuring superstars vs diva matches in WWE 2K15, to avoid depiction of violence between men and women.

According to WWE Executive Producer, Mark Little, the game will feature five times the animation quality of the previous titles, improved lighting and will bring the pacing of matches as similar to the real thing as possible.

2K Sports tapped Visual Concepts to breathe life into commentaries to create more drama.

Seasoned announcers Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole have already recorded 35 hours worth of lines.

Meanwhile, it has been made official that the WWE 2K15 cover will feature wrestling mega star John Cena.

"It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the WWE 2K15 cover superstar," Cena said in a statement. "I look forward to carrying the flag for WWE 2K15, and introducing the incredible next generation of WWE gaming to the WWE Universe."

Cena, who clinched his 15th WWE world championship title at the recent "Money in the Bank" event, has been the face of WWE for a long time now.

What Culture also reported of 12 new superstars making their franchise debut including Adrian Neville, Eva Marie, Lanny Poffo, Rusev and Lana, Stardust, Harper and Rowan, Emma, Bo Dallas, AdamRose, Paige, Bray Wyatt and Sting.
