WWE rumors 2016: Rivalry with Wyatt Family to end New Day's run as group?

The entertaining and game-changing run of defending World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) tag team champions The New Day might soon come to an end as they continue their rivalry with The Wyatt Family.

Two weeks ago, Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman) made their comeback to WWE programming. But while Wyatt was cutting a promo, the New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods) decided to share the power of positivity to the returning faction.

The gesture was not appreciated by Wyatt, who in the end tried to strike fear to the New Day but it seems only effective on Woods.

Since then, the New Day has been making fun of the Wyatt Family. Last week on "Monday Night Raw," they even dressed up like them. Wyatt, together with the Wyatt Family, then came out and countered New Day's mantra, "The Power of Positivity."

As the rivalry continues, it looks like what the Wyatt Family is doing only works on Woods, with Big E and Kingston still not being afraid.

On this week's "Raw," the fall of New Day may have started. The Wyatt Family presented an invitation to the tag team champs which again became a topic of laughter for the latter.

Bray Wyatt, insulted by this, challenged the New Day, and Kingston together with Big E quickly accepted. Woods, afraid and aware of the threat, urged both to be serious and understand what they are going up against.

According to Cageside Seats, there are plans that the feud with the Wyatt Family will be the last for the New Day as a faction because reportedly, others believe that the group "has peaked."

There is no doubt that New Day's addition to the tag team scene and their transition from heels to faces contributed big time to the WWE again becoming entertaining.

But if the creatives really see this as the end for the group, the feud with the Wyatts is a good way to close a successful gimmick. Not only will it disband the New Day, but it also makes the Wyatt Family legitimate heels, which the company failed to do in the past few years.
