Oscar Isaac, the actor who plays the most formidable villain of the "X-Men" in the upcoming movie, "X-Men: Apocalypse," recently talked about his experience as Apocalypse, as well as his views for the "X-Men" universe.

While speaking to Indiewire, Isaac provided a few insights on what to expect from his acting when fans finally see him as En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse in the movie. The actor even tackled the topic of Stanley Kubrick's naturalism, as well as his approach when playing the villain, which is comparable to the style of Greek Tragedy or even Kabuki.

"With 'X-Men' it was great because there's an embodiment of such big ideas, you're not working in the realm of naturalism. And just because something's natural doesn't mean that it's interesting — and I think Kubrick knew that very well," Isaac told Indiewire during the interview.

The actor then continued to explain, "Sometimes it's fun to push performance into other places that is not just about the same kind of verité thing. You can go to heightened places in a Greek tragedy or kabuki kind of way. You have these forms that express more than just an individual's personality. And that's been really fun to play with in 'X-Men.'"

Based on Isaac's words, it would seem likely that fans can expect a much different and more expressive Apocalypse in the movie than in the comics. Aside from having a different approach, it is also highly likely that his portrayal of a villain will set him apart from the previous antagonists in the "X-Men" franchise, specifically the old friend turned mortal enemy, Magneto, the head of the "Project-X" program, William Stryker, one of the most powerful antagonists in the franchise, Jean Grey (possessed by the Phoenix Force entity), according to the report by Screenrant.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit theaters next year on May 27, 2016.
