As far as the gaming sector is concerned, the buzz right now is tied up with an alleged Sony Playstation 4.5 or PS4K. The move is seen as an incremental upgrade to the Sony PS4, which eventually led many to ask Microsoft if they had incremental changes lined up for their celebrated Xbox One units.

Microsoft head Phil Spencer touched on the matter at a recent Microsoft Build 2016 event and made it clear that the company is not planning anything of the like via GameSpot. He stressed that if Microsoft implements any changes, it will be made in full and big numbers.

For now, he adds that the Xbox One is doing just fine. While future variants of the game console is expected with the evolving state of technology, any upcoming console will offer big changes and not via the partial route.

Spencer has been credited for the good standing of the Xbox brand thus far. He is seen as the prime reason why Xbox sales have improved and also the reason why the branding and image of the game console has ramped up excitement once more.

The innovations he made happen include the celebrated backwards compatibility program which allows gamers to enjoy the previous titles playable on the Xbox 360. Aside from that, he is also the brains behind the Games with Gold program for Xbox Live subscribers.

Despite the fact that the Xbox One was seen as inferior when compared to the Sony PS4, any major changes will happen on the successor. Those plans are obviously held back and under wraps as its competitors try to hone up their lead over the Microsoft game console.

As far as the PS4K is concerned, the move is met by both who approve and disapprove it. It is seen as an improvised way to adapt to 4K technology which many feel would be better had it been made on a new and full game console route.

For Spencer and the folks over at Microsoft, it is a chance to see how the move fares. If it succeeds, they know the needed tweaks to be done once they do come out with their next game console.
