Phil Spencer was able to express his opinions recently regarding the progress of one of their latest projects, the Xbox Scorpio. The Xbox head recently attended a whole-day meeting about the console and he is excited for its upcoming release.

His optimism regarding the launch of the Xbox Scorpio was seen in one of his recent tweets when a fan asked for the status of the hardware. Spencer replied with positivity, saying, "I'm in a day long review of where the team is on Scorpio right now, amazing progress and we are feeling good about schedule."

The head of Xbox was also able to speak to GameSpot previously with regards to the progress of their latest hardware. He mentioned that they have a lot of time left on their hands to complete it and that so far, he is happy with how things are falling into place for the Scorpio project. He also stated that the team that is working with the console understands the things that they need to do in order to attain the specs that were promised.

Spencer also said that their people and their collaborators are very knowledgeable in terms of building a PC and he feels lucky that he is working with them. In the same GameSpot interview, he continued explaining, "Since we're focusing on a box that can support true 4K and a 4K frame buffer and a lot of PC games already support that; it's not a new language or asset base for them in terms of things that we're asking them to go do."

According to reports, the Xbox Scorpio will go head-to-head with Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro this coming Holiday season. Both consoles are expected to deliver very powerful specs that will give players a better experience in gaming.

The Xbox Scorpio still has no selling price and it is expected to be launched near the end of the year.
