While the television landscape has been full of rebooted series, another show with a big cult following is testing its waters for a possible new audience.

According to the Vine Report, "Xena: Warrior Princess" is planning on coming back but this time, with an all new princess.

Xena first appeared on "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys," while she was given a lot of air time on the show, fans were so engrossed with her character to the point that she was given her own spin-off. The show, which made it through six seasons, is now given a go-signal for a reboot.

Lucy Lawless, who played the protagonist on the show, has already expressed her support for the reboot. The actress has even took to Twitter to express her approval. She wrote, "If a Xena reboot gets made, it's because the fans are beautiful, hard-core nutballs who want what they want."

It has also been recently confirmed that Lawless will not be reprising her role. But it is possible that the actress could come back in a different role if she accepts.

Bob Greenblatt, NBC Entertainment's chairman, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter to talk about Lawless possibly being on the reboot. He said, "I'm not sure how she could be part of [the reboot] if she wasn't playing Xena, I don't know if that's a direction we'll ever go."

Website, Ecumenical News, has also reported that the series is still in its early stages and its genre will be a bit far from the original television series.

CNET has revealed that Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will serve as executive producers for the reboot. The pair were also EPs for the original series back in 1995.

NBC has yet to report on the possible premiere dates of the show, but it is expected to be shown next year.
