Sometimes, being a celebrity means facing a lot of criticism for your actions and being down with a disease does not exempt them from this. Thankfully, having friends to support them amid these make life a whole lot better.

Yolanda Foster had entered the public limelight when she became a model then musician David Foster's Wife. But what really spawned people to notice her every move was when she became a part of season three of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." And as with any reality star, Foster had her own set of supporters and critics. Even with her announcement of her battle with Lyme disease, the critics could not help but fire shots.

The 51-year-old had been diagnosed in 2012 as having chronic Lyme disease, an infectious disease that causes rashes and sometimes affects the ability to move either side of the face. In an effort to find a cure for the chronic Lyme disease symptoms, Foster admitted to dishing out an all-out search for a cure all around the world, at whatever cost. She had been criticized for this and was even questioned when she seemed to miraculously look better in an Instagram post last month.

But despite all these negative reports and bashing, the reality star remains strong, thanks to the many positive comments and encouragement from fans. Probably, the friendship she formed with some of her co-stars in "RHOBH" is also serving as a strength.

In an interview with Perez Hilton, co-star and wine expert, Brandi Glanville, revealed, "I talk to Yolanda Foster all the time! We were just together at her place. She's doing a lot better. She got her implants taken out and she's a new person."

A week ago, the former model posted a selfie of herself on Instagram and captioned it with, "Don't confuse my bad days as a sign of weakness, those are actually the days I fight my hardest." Her return to season six of the reality star is still unconfirmed and in the works.
