'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 2 DLC may give players Wolverine

(Official website)Kombat Pack 1 DLC will be followed next year by 'Kombat Pack 2'

There has been a steady trickle of rumors about the upcoming second DLC pack for the game "Mortal Kombat X," which according to all information released so far will release sometime in the first half of 2016. Among the current rumors is that some think that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be included as characters in the "Kombat Pack 2" DLC.

The announcement about Kombat Pack 2 was made in the September of this year when a teaser was made public by NetherRealm Studios, and when Gamespot stated that four silhouettes of characters were visible in it. Along with the image, it was revealed that the DLC, which has been tentatively named "Kombat Pack 2," will have additional skins for characters and also bring a new environment.

As soon as the announcement about the four new characters was made for the "Kombat Pack 2" DLC, speculation started that one of them was Wolverine. However, others were quick to point out that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be the four new characters. Recently, however, this rumor bit the dust when Ed Boon, the creative director of NetherRealm Studios took to his twitter account and replied to a fan question about the turtles and stated that they would not be guest characters.

The game "Mortal Kombat X" released with a number of characters and it has since then added a number of additional characters as part of its DLC packs. One pack was called the "Kold War" while another was the "Kombat Pack". Among the characters included in the "Kombat Pack" were Jason Voorhees, the Predator, Tanya and Tremor. Importantly, when the "Kombat Pack" was released it was stated that Tremor would be final character to be added to it. The pack was then referred to as "Kombat Pack1" and priced at $30.

It is expected that the "Kombat Pack 2" will come with a same pricing structure when it releases next year. As for the other characters rumored to be appearing, include: Rain, Kabal, Smoke, Baraka and Sinde.
