'Power' season 3 release date not announced yet; Kanan appears to have escaped

James St. Patrick, who's also known by his moniker Ghost, probably thinks that he's set for a clean slate when "Power's" season three starts. Little does he know that he might have opened a whole can of worms by not making sure that his former confidant Kanan is really dead.

Things started getting tense for Ghost (Omari Hardwick) when Kanan (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) was released from prison. Things reached its boiling point during "Power's" season two finale when Ghost got Kanan pinned down in a building and the two came to blows. The night club owner was able to stab Kanan with a piece of glass that got broken during their fight. He then sets the building on fire and flees, presumably leaving a dead Kanan. However, investigators discover that someone was able to make it out of the burning building. It goes without saying that the ex-con will be gunning for Ghost when season three commences.

However, Kanan isn't the only one that Ghost should be worrying about next season as he had made numerous enemies and burnt several bridges. There's some bad blood between the power player and Mike and Angela and it has been reported that the two might be among those who want Ghost gone.

While there's a long list of people who want Ghost dead, there's the possibility that a new and still unknown killer will show up. If fans would recall, Ghost finds a bloody La Arana card, which he uses like a calling card, leaving it on the Lobos members that he had killed. The card could be a sign from Kanan or a new killer that will be introduced next season.

Showrunner, Courtney Kemp Agboh had previously mentioned that people would be shocked by the events of the finale and true enough, "Power" fans couldn't wrap their head around the blood that spilled or on Shawn's death in episode nine. Now they're wondering how Ghost would resolve things in season three or even if he will live long enough next season.

The future of "Power" season three is still up in the air but fans are hoping that they will soon hear good news about the show from Starz.
