'Teen Wolf' season 6 release date, spoilers: Lydia comes clean with her feelings for Stiles

(Facebook/TeenWolf)Lydia and Stiles are expected to become a couple in "Teen Wolf" season 6.

Lydia (Holland Roden) has finally decided who Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) is in her life coming into the new season of "Teen Wolf."

Fans of "Stydia" are really hoping that the new installment will be the start of a romance for the couple. It has been teased time and again that Stiles and Lydia will finally realize that what they have is more than friendship. Season 6 will reportedly be the time for them to come clean with their feelings. When Stiles saved Lydia from the Eichen House last installment, viewers could feel their chemistry. Stiles was more inclined to showing his emotions than Lydia. This time around, it will be Lydia's turn to be more open.

The promo for the new season does not bode well for Stiles, as he becomes the target of the new threats in town. The Ghost Riders have come to Beacon Hills and their powers become apparent. They have the ability to erase a person's existence, and unfortunately, Stiles will become one of their victims. While all the rest appear to have forgotten him, Lydia is the only one who is able to hold on to her memory of Stiles. Even when he asks her to forget him and move on, Lydia remains steadfast in her decision not to let him go.

Showrunner Jeff Davis has offered an explanation about this to Entertainment Weekly. According to him, Stiles and Lydia share a unique connection. This is the reason why her memory of him will remain clear while the others, even Stiles' best friend Scott (Tyler Posey), cannot remember him. The EP also said that Stiles and Lydia are both past the stage where they circle around each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.

"They have something special. We decided that this is the place to show that they've gone from a simple crush to friends to something deeper," Davis teased.

"Teen Wolf" is expected to return on Tuesday, Nov. 15 on MTV.
