"Attack on Titan" season 2 won't air until spring 2017, but fans are already anticipating the different story arcs that will play out. For instance, it is widely believed that the creator of the Wall will be revealed in the upcoming season.

Fans know that humans lived within the walled city in order to escape the horde of Titans lingering outside it. However, it was never made clear how the Wall came about in the first place. Humans couldn't have built it since Titans would be everywhere. Rumor has it that the upcoming season will shed a little more light on the kingdom's history, as well as the creator/s of the Wall.

The main protagonist of the series, Eren Yeager, may also discover how the serum transforms him into a Titan. It can be recalled that Eren's father injected him with a serum that allowed him to become a Titan shapeshifter back in season 1. And while the serum's power and process was not explained, that may all change once season 2 rolls around.

Speaking of Titans, it is rumored that new iconic ones will make their debut in the second season. In addition to a beast-like Titan, there is also going to be a Titan with a human-level intelligence. Beating zombie-like Titans is hard enough, so a smart one will definitely prove to be a challenge. Moreover, the largest Titan is also expected to appear in season 2. This large Titan is said to be the biggest one of them all, even bigger than the Colossal Titan. 

As for a release date, "Attack on Titan" season 2 has not been given a specific one as of yet. However, it is believed that the Japanese anime series will premiere in April 2017, judging by its intended release window and Japan's release cycle.
