'Rick and Morty' season 3 spoilers: Recent rumors of delayed release date sparked by tweet
The official Twitter account of "Rick and Morty" recently posted a tweet that sent fans into a frenzy of speculations. Despite being worded quite cryptically, many still assumed that the tweet meant that the show's third season has been delayed.
There you go- the wait for season 3 is now 30 mins longer! Back to work for us.

"30 mins longer" could mean a lot of things. Some fans assumed that literally and concluded that episodes of the third season will now run for an hour long each, compared to the 30-minute episodes in previous seasons. However, others were not so optimistic and pointed to a postponed release date as its meaning.
The third season of "Rick and Morty" is expected to premiere in late July. And if some of these fans are to be believed, the release date could be pushed back to a later date — 30 days later, to be more specific. However, since nothing has been confirmed, the tweet could mean virtually anything. It could even just be the producers messing with everyone.
This isn't the first time that fans' imaginations ran amuck. It was previously reported that intricate theories had been conjured up by the show's many followers, ranging from logical to downright crazy. However, creator Dan Harmon addressed these speculations and fan theories, saying that "the audience is essentially a render farm."
Harmon then proceeded to explain that having a convoluted plot would not be a good idea and compared it to the series "Dexter," wherein a fan had figured out the twist early on and wrote about it on Reddit.
As for its release date, it was previously believed that "Rick and Morty" season 3 would debut at year's end. But then came the news that the animated series had begun production earlier than expected, which hyped up fans' interests and only led to a perceived bumped-up release date.
However, since nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, fans should take this news with a grain of salt.
