'Beauty and the Beast' film news: Belle talks to hairbrush in new clip; Emma Watson sings 'Something There'

New teasers have been released for Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast." TV spots have made rounds, much to fans' excitement, and a snippet of Emma Watson singing "Something There" has also been released.

The TV spot doesn't offer a lot of new footage, as it mostly contains scenes that can be found in the official trailer. However, it does feature a particularly humorous scene that sees Watson's Belle attempting to talk to a hairbrush.

After meeting the objects in the mansion that have come to life — like Emma Thompson's Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen's Cogsworth, and Ewan McGregor's Lumiere — Belle tries to ask the hairbrush what its name is. Cogsworth hilariously points out to her that it's just a hairbrush.

By the looks of it, the upcoming film will not stray too far from the animated classic. The cast will also be offering up their renditions of classic songs like "Be Our Guest." While there was some concern over whether or not Watson could carry a tune, the latest snippet of "Something There" has certainly put her critics in their place.

Fans of the animated film know that "Something There" was originally sung by Belle, along with most of the other supporting characters. The Beast also sang a part in the song in the 1991 film. Since the snippet only lasted a little over 30 seconds, it only got to showcase Watson's voice and not Dan Stevens', who plays the Beast.

However, Disney fans will also notice something different when "Beauty and the Beast" hits theaters. The original film saw Belle's father, Maurice, as an inventor, while Belle spent her time with her head buried in books. However, the live adaptation will feature Belle with a knack for inventing things. Watson herself cited a plot point from the film that sees her character inventing a makeshift washing machine so she could read books instead of doing laundry.

"Beauty and the Beast" will premiere on March 17, 2017.
