'Elementary' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Sherlock and Holmes handle an abduction case

(Facebook/ElementaryCBS)Sherlock and Joan have another interesting case to tackle in the upcoming episode of "Elementary."

Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) and Joan (Lucy Liu) will follow the tracks of a woman who has gone missing in the upcoming episode of "Elementary."

In the promo released by CBS for the episode titled "Render, and Then Seize Her," a middle-aged woman is shown be abducted by some unknown people. Prior to the incident, a man who is clearly her stalker is revealed to be taking pictures of her. Although the hints point out to him being the culprit, the investigation takes a sudden turn when the man's body is found. Someone shot him and the clip shows that the killer is another man wearing a cap. Sherlock and Joan will be joining the New York PD in this case. They must find the woman before it is too late.

Meanwhile, the episode will also see Sherlock meeting up with Captain Gregson's (Aidan Quinn) girlfriend, Paige (Virginia Madsen). Spoilers reveal that she will personally ask the consultant to work on a case for her. Paige will request for Sherlock to be quiet about their business deal and not let Gregson learn about it. What is she hiding from the good captain?

It is possible that Paige will ask Sherlock to revisit the case where she was forced to quit her job as a detective. She and her other colleagues were proven to have pocketed money from a drug lord's home that they raided. Has she found something that will help clear her name once and for all?

Meanwhile, it has been previously teased that Paige and Gregson might be getting married in season 5. Executive producer Rob Doherty has revealed that the couple's relationship would advance to a whole new level. Gregson has already lost Paige once when she insisted on breaking up with him because of her illness. He is probably thinking that she will run away again if she thinks he is not really serious with their affair.

"Elementary" season 5, episode 3 is scheduled to air on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
