'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' spoilers, news: James Gunn working on new trailer, reveals Drax as 'funniest character'

(Facebook/guardiansofthegalaxy)"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will be filled with action and comedy.

Fans got a taste of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" last month when a teaser video was released. Now, it looks like another trailer is on the horizon as director James Gunn has revealed that he has been hard at work on the next one.

A few days ago, Gunn started a Q&A on his Facebook page to pass the time while he was stuck in traffic. One fan asked him what he found most exciting that day, to which he replied, "Working on the next trailer was fun!"

It can be recalled that a sneak peek was previously released online, but the clip only lasted for about a minute and a half. All members of the Guardians were featured: Star-Lord or Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), and even a small Groot (Vin Diesel). Characters like Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) were also seen. In the background, fans can hear the all-too familiar soundtrack that became iconic in the first film, "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede.

The sneak peek features a lot of action taking place, but also focuses on comedy — something that is considered a staple in the MCU and what really brought about the charm of the first film.

In the same Q&A thread, Gunn revealed that the upcoming sequel will be funny. And while the film has an ensemble cast, the director added that a lot of the humor featured will primarily come from Bautista's Drax the Destroyer.

"Everything is funny. He's the funniest character in Vol 2. Bradley Cooper just saw the movie and talked about how he's like Zack Galifinakis in The Hangover (in that he kills every line he has)," he posted.

Many were surprised with Bautista's performance in "Guardians of the Galaxy" since the former wrestler was not really known for his acting chops and comedic timing. A snippet of his humor was also showcased in the sneak peek.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will premiere on May 5, 2017.
