Fans are looking forward to see their favorite Barden Bellas in "Pitch Perfect 3." But it looks like there are going to be new faces when the movie arrives. One new name is apparently Ruby Rose of "Orange Is the New Black" fame.

According to an exclusive report from Variety, Rose is in talks to join the cast of the third "Pitch Perfect" movie. However, other details like character name and description have not been revealed yet. 

"Pitch Perfect 3" has suffered some setbacks throughout its pre-production, including numerous release date changes. It was originally set to bow on July 21, 2017, but got delayed to Aug. 4, 2017. It then got bumped back up to its July date, only to be shot back down to Dec. 22, 2017.

Moreover, Elizabeth Banks, who also stars in the film as Gail, will not be directing the third film as previously stated. Trish Sie will replace Banks, who directed the second film, "Pitch Perfect 2."

As for returning cast members, Anna Kendrick, who plays Beca, has been confirmed to reprise her role in the upcoming film. Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson are also coming back as Chloe Beale and Fat Patricia/Amy, respectively. 

It has also been revealed that Anna Camp, who plays Aubrey Posen, will be in the third "Pitch Perfect" film, but her real-life husband, Skylar Astin, has yet to be invited back. Astin plays Kendrick's on-screen boyfriend, Jesse Swanson.

Astin previously revealed that he does not know what the plot of the third film is going to be and that he is unaware if his character will be included. And, more recently, in an interview with PopSugar, accompanied by his wife, Astin echoed that his casting has not been confirmed yet.

"I'm not quite confirmed yet. I don't know if I will be confirmed, to be honest. I've heard that they may be taking the girls in another direction this time," the actor said.

But since pre-production for the film has not concluded, there is still hope that this Treblemaker will be back.

"Pitch Perfect 3" will premiere on Dec. 22, 2017.
