'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: Stefan to allow Caroline to meet Klaus?

If Caroline (Candice King) will end up saving her former lover Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in the upcoming season of "The Originals," does it mean she and Stefan (Paul Wesley) have called it quits?
As per iTech Post, rumors of a crossover with "The Vampire Diaries" continue to make rounds on the internet. Caroline will allegedly come to New Orleans, trace the tomb where Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) buried Klaus and free the hybrid. There are also speculations that the Salvatore brothers will come and help the Mikaelsons out of their predicament. Last season, all of the siblings were wiped out by Marcel's clever plan.
Klaus has the Tunde blade embedded on his chest, which means he will not be able to move an inch from his dark prison. Freya (Riley Voelkel), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are in an alternate universe and only Klaus' resurrection can bring them back. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) has escaped with the vampires' bodies and with her daughter Hope (Summer Fontana), but it will only be a matter of time until they return to New Orleans.
As per recent spoilers, Klaus' future does not hold much hope. He is set to face a terrible fate, as a foe unlike any he has faced will arrive to challenge him. But first, he must get out of his tomb and this is allegedly where Caroline will come in. There have been rumors that she and Klaus will end up together. Stefan, on the other hand, is said to reunite with his first love, Katherine (Nina Dobrev).
The CW and the showrunners have yet to comment on the predicted crossover between the two series. "TVD" is ending after season 8. There is still no news on whether "The Originals" will have a fifth installment.
"The Originals" season 4 is expected to return midseason 2017.
