"Vikings" won't be returning for season four anytime soon, which has fans speculating on what may be in store next for Ragnar Lothbrok. Previous rumour says a new romance might just be around the corner. With the latest addition to the cast, could she be the new romance people had been talking about?

Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) has not exactly been able to keep his hands off women, even when he was already supposedly happily married. From season to season of "Vikings," the legendary King will have a new woman by his side, either as a wife or as a lover. In season one, he was happily married to Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) until he slept with and Princess Asluag (Alyssa Sutherland) and got her pregnant in season two. While it seemed they were having a good life together, with the Princess bearing the King many a child, he still fell prey to the sexual appetites of Princess Kwenthrith (Amy Bailey) in season three. It seems that the former farmer-turned-king will set his eyes on a different beauty come season four.

Diane Doan had been cast for the role of Yidu, an Oriental slave, in season four. She is mostly described as mysterious and the actress says it must be because she comes from a distant, unknown land. Talking to International Business Times about the role, Doan let it slip that her character is one of those brought by the pagans back to Kattegat when Ragnar conquered Paris on season three. Yidu had been in France ever since her kidnapping from the Red Sea.

Yidu's air of mystery will scare those from Kattegat. She looks different and thinks different, too. And maybe that is also what intrigues the descendant of Odin. The characetr's description points to her as being inquisitive and exotic and Ragnar will be captivated by her and her past.

So just what is Yidu's past? Unfortunately, Doan says she cannot spill to much about it. But she says her addition is one of the things that fans can look forward to.

"I unfortunately can't spill too much about what we've worked on, but for me, as an actor, Michael has written some incredible scenes, touching on darker topics and circumstances that I've yet to play, so this whole filming process has challenged and pushed me and my craft," she tells IBTimes.

Stay tuned for more updates, especially the release date of "Vikings" season four.
