Producer Ryan Murphy has revealed more details about the characters in the upcoming 'American Horror Story' Season 4, a.k.a. "Freak Show," and fans will surely wince at the sight of these freak show appearances.

Many speculations have been circling around about the characters of American Horror Story: Freak Show and, finally, the silence of the producers has been broken.

Producer Ryan Murphy revealed that one of the characters revealed belong to actor Michael Chiklis, who will play a role close to Angela Bassett's.

"[Chiklis plays] a strong man who's married to Angela Bassett['s character]," said Murphy to TVLine, during an interview at the Critics Choice Awards. Murphy added that Chiklis will play Evan Peters' character, and the ex-husband of Kathy Bate's character.

"He has scenes with Angela, and Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates," added Murphy. 'Freak Show' is the first time that Chiklis will appear as a mainstay in the show's series, while other cast members have been present from the first up to the previous season.

"I love the part because it's really written to be quite vulnerable, which is something I think Michael does so well: the strong man who's vulnerable. I'm very excited to see [him] tussle with all those great ladies, and he's really up for it, really excited about it," the showrunner added in the same TVLine interview.

Kathy Bates has also given fans an idea about her character, though no exact description was given by the seasoned actress.

"It's in the late 1950s in Jupiter, FL, and I know what my character looks like, but I don't know anything else about her. In fact, I've just gone to costume fittings, and we're still developing the character. I haven't seen the script yet, and we start shooting in the middle of July, so time's a-wastin'!" said the actress to the site, Popsugar.
