"Attack on Titan" season 2 has already been confirmed to release sometime in spring next year. Fans are getting excited especially with news that production has started and the rampant spoilers that are making the rounds online.

There have been reports suggesting that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will stay true to its manga version. However, Parent Herald seems to disagree, stating in its report that the series will bring significantly different storylines for fans.

Latest reports also stated that the Titans in the second season will be even more threatening as they lurk within the walls. It was also mentioned that a new beast Titan will be introduced and this creature will expectedly bring chaos to the new season.

Also rumored to be part of the upcoming season is the titan named Zeke. Zeke is described to have an intelligence level comparable to that of a human. It is reportedly weird-looking but it is impressively clever and uncanny.

Apart from the new Titans and the inevitable destruction they can bring, iTechPost also mentioned in its report that season 2 could feature flashbacks. Although this might bring to light the beginnings of the Titans and the world before they came, the publication noted that it could also mean less story development for the new season.

Since "Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to dwell on the history of Titans and the people inside Wall Rose, there is also speculation that Krista Lenz's story will be featured. Apparently, Krista's true identity – Historia Reiss – as a daughter of a nobleman will be revealed. The family's secret will also be exposed and fans will know more details about the 'Coordinate' – the power used to control the monstrous Titans.

At this point, fans continue to wait for updates on the exact premiere date of the animated series. So far, there's still no official announcement but "Attack on Titan" season 2 should be out by spring 2017.
