Four months after From Software released "Dark Souls 3," fans are still waiting for the first DLC expansion that would further give more reasons for players to keep playing the title. However, the developer has remained mum about the expansion's release date.

Due to the lack of information, fans have been speculating that the DLC set will be released in the next few months. According to The Christian Times, recent reports even point to a possible August launch.

Though most have predicted a September launch, there are who are expecting to see the update roll out before August ends. If this is true, the developer might make a big announcement in the next few weeks.

Two DLC packs are said to come for "Dark Souls 3." The first will most likely arrive this year while the second will probably be slated for a 2017 release.

Another rumor that has been making rounds online is the alleged delay of the expansion. This is because From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki is busy this year and he has a lot on his plate these days.

In an interview with Kotaku earlier this month, Miyazaki explained that an expansion is indeed on the way. However, he is also working on several other projects. "I'm actually working on the DLC for Dark Souls 3, and have been focusing on a number of new projects," he confirmed.

In the said interview, Miyazaki also teased that the upcoming DLC pack will be action-packed and will feature a lot of new things for players. "Content-wise, it builds off of the previous titles and will be featuring a new area, enemies, gear, and story," adding that the storyline will be set in a new location that gamers will surely enjoy.

Miyazaki refused to give more details about the update but fans are surely in for a whole new world of action when the first DLC expansion for "Dark Souls 3" releases this year.
