There is a lot of excitement surrounding the game "Destiny," as this weekend and the New Year are going to see several exotic items and free loot arriving. First off, exotic weapons and armor are due to arrive thanks to the Xur over the weekend and then as the New Year rolls around, the game will get free loot.

The arrival of the free loot was made public on a blog post on developer Bungie's website and the developer importantly noted that they will become available with the postmaster on Jan. 7 next year. Also on its blog, the developer stated that it was offering the free loot for players as a sort of gift card.

As for getting the free loot, players will have to ensure that their backlog is cleared and only then will the items turn up. Once they have picked up the loot, players can head over to the tower to buy things from Xur. Coming to the specific items included in the look, it includes 15 strange coins and the same number of motes of light.

Also, the developer hinted that it was going to provide an emblem for players who log into the game and play during the period from Jan. 7 to Jan. 10. However, players have to ensure that they take part in activity in the "Director" portion if they want to receive it.

The Christmas weekend extending from Dec. 25 to 27 also saw Xur return to the Tower. Specifically, he was positioned at a door at Tower North. He appeared opposite the Speaker to sell his wares, which consisted of Exotic armor such as the Armamentarium piece that is used by the Titans. Also among the other Exotic armor items were boots that went by the name of Bones of Eao and the Ram helmet.

Finally, the Exotic weapons Xur offered the MIDA Multi-Tool, which were actually featured in year one of the game, have been upgraded in year two.
