A featurette for the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" reveal that lead character Newt Scamander portrayed by Eddie Redmayne will not be alone in his quest to search for magical creatures around the world.

The movie, which is a spin-off of the "Harry Potter" series, tells the story of Scamander, a magizoologist who went to New York in the 1920s carrying a suitcase filled with magical creatures. However, some of these magical beasts have escaped the suitcase and he has to round up all of them and bring them back inside it.

Like Harry Potter who had friends to help him, Scamander also has a set of friends who will join his mission. The gang includes Jacob Kowalski (Dan Folger), Porpentina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), Queenie (Alison Sudol), and the No-Maj or muggle.

The featurette also revealed some backstory on the character Kowalski, suggesting that he is accidentally dragged into the magical world. All he wanted was rebuild his life after going home from war and open a bakery. In another scene, Kowalski is seen sitting on a desk and opening the suitcase.

Other stars who will join the cast include Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Jen Murray, Carmen Ejogo, Ezra Miller, and Faith Wood-Blagrove.

Fans are not the only ones who are excited about the upcoming film. Even the cast of "Harry Potter" are anticipating the movie release.

Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in "Harry Potter" movies, said the spin-off "looked amazing," while Katie Leung, who played Cho Chang, said "it was exciting to see new wizards and witches," according to a report on Korea Portal.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is directed by David Yates and is scheduled for worldwide release on Nov. 18, 2016 in 2D and 3D versions.
