Fans of "the "Final Fantasy" video game franchise have been very excited about the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." There are speculations that it may be launched in spring or summer of 2017.

Under the direction of Tetsuya Nomura, the production "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is reportedly ongoing. However, game developer Square Enix did not reveal when the game is going to be ready and be released.

According to reports, since Square Enix gave no word about the remake at its recent financial report, there is a possibility that it will be launched after March 2017. Since the title is expected to come out with multiple episodes, which means it is massive, then the first of the bunch would likely drop in spring or summer of next year.

There are speculations that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" might come out in three separate episodes. Its previous title, "Final Fantasy XIII," was also released with multiple parts so the remake could also do the same. Each episode may also be released once every six months or year. If the rumors turn out to be true, then fans may have to wait until 2018 or 2019 to complete all three rumored episodes.

However, huge epic games, such as the "Final Fantasy," don't necessarily follow a strict release pattern. It may even have short or even long breaks in between of each release. Who knows, it may even be completed beyond 2020. This is not a far-fetched idea either because "Final Fantasy versus XIII" was constantly pushed back since its announcement in 2006. Its development stretched up to a decade and was eventually renamed to "Final Fantasy XV." Now, the said title is delayed for a Nov. 29 release again.

"Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata said in a statement, "I wish to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want Final Fantasy XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve."

More details on "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will soon be revealed.
