The huge success of the musical fantasy animated film "Frozen" in 2013, made fans crave for more of Anna and Elsa's story. There has been scarce official information about the sequel of the film, but there have been heaps of rumors circulating online.

According to reports, "Frozen 2" is rumored to be facing cancellation due to lack of budget and the lack of strong storyline. Apparently, Disney is facing budget issues and may have to resort to axing the sequel film to address their financial issues first. Another problem about the project is the storyline because the writers are rumored to be having problems writing a follow-up to such a huge first film.

However, there are other rumors pointing that since Elsa did not have a love interest in the first film, it could be possible that she may be coming out of her shell in the sequel. Because of this new angle, the writers may have to spend more time to develop the storyline.

Based on Idina Menzel's, singing voice of Elsa, recent revelation about the upcoming film, it looks like the storyline is still in the works.

"We are at story writing and they're working on it and I think I'm in it," Menzel told E!News at the AFI Life Achievement Award tribute to composer John Williams in June. "That's all I know — unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes."

Last March, when Anna's voice actress Kristen Bell was also asked if recording has started for "Frozen 2," she said that she hasn't recorded a single line yet. She explained on Collider, "They've just written it and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month. The story is great, and they exude quality. What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out."

It looks like fans will have to wait more until Disney announces more details about the upcoming "Frozen 2."
