Alex faces the consequences of his actions in the upcoming episode 2, titled "Catastrophe and the Cure," of the 13th season of the American medical drama "Grey's Anatomy."

Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is having a hard time figuring out her loyalties. Meanwhile, Alex (Justin Chambers) deals with the repercussions of his actions. Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd), on the other hand, throws a dinner party together with guests that the others would not have expected. Jackson (Jesse Williams) has an arrangement in mind that could aid April (Sarah Drew) while she recovers.

The promo trailer for "Catastrophe and the Cure" shows the chaos inside Seattle Grace Hospital after the incident between Alex and Deluca (Giacomo Gianniotti). It seems like the doctors are taking sides. Also, the two doctors will be facing each other in court. Although Meredith believes that Alex will not end up in jail, there is a high chance for him to pay for the things he did to Deluca.

Actress Pompeo revealed on Entertainment Weekly about the conflict between Alex and Deluca. "She really can't betray her sister again, because the whole premiere episode about Alex being the one who beats up DeLuca is a betrayal because Meredith did not confide to Maggie that she knew who did it," she said. "She can't betray Maggie again, yet she's finding herself in this triangle that Maggie for sure is going to see as a betrayal."

Drew also shared to The Hollywood Reporter about how her character April would react to Alex's fate and would deal with Jackson. April, she said, is somewhat on Alex's side since she has considered him as family. However, justice must be served so it would be tough for her to support Alex through it all. Meanwhile, Jackson and April are in a confusing situation because although he should take care of their baby, he is not necessarily required to take care of her.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
