'Hawaii Five-0' season 6 episode 14 spoilers: Valentine's episode said to be full of Coldplay songs and disastrous dates; Danno's mom set to return to Hawaii in upcoming episode
"Hawaii Five-0" is on another break, something that has happened several times this season. Luckily for fans, a new episode is set to be aired right before Valentine's Day and it's one that will reportedly have the "Five-0" team reminiscing about some of their cringe-worthy dates.
According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode, McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and the rest of the squad will take on a double homicide that involved cheating partners. The episode is fittingly titled "Hoa 'inea" or "Misery Loves Company," as working on Valentine's Day prompts the team members to relive some of their disastrous dates.
Hollywood Hills shared some stills for the 14th episode of "Hawaii Five-0" season 6 and it hints at some fun and memorable stories. Grover (Chi McBride) is seen rocking a blue suede suit in one photo and wining and dining his wife in another. There's also a photo of Danno (Steve Caan) looking serious, SFPD Inspector Dunn (Julie Benz) wearing a sexy, peach coloured number and Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) in a towel.
While McGarrett wasn't in any of the photos, he apparently won't be spending Valentine's Day alone. It seems the Lieutenant Commander is well on his way to moving on from his ex, Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth), and is spending the special day with Lynn Downey (Sarah Carter). The pair's disastrous first date was not enough to dissuade them from trying again. And hopefully this date will be free from murderous crime lords and guns.
The episode also has "Iron Chef" Masaharu Morimoto making a special guest appearance and he'll undoubtedly wow viewers with his culinary prowess. To further set the romantic mood, fans will also be treated to several Coldplay songs. According to the Carter Matt site, four songs from the band's album, "A Head Full of Dreams," will be played during the hour.
Aside from "Hawaii Five-0's" Valentine's episode, fans can also look forward to the return of Danno's Mom, Clara (Melanie Griffith) in episode 15 and fan favourites Odell Martin (Michael Imperioli) and Sang Min (Will Yun Lee) in episode 16.
"Hawaii Five-0" season 6 will return with a new episode on Feb. 12.
