'How to Get Away with Murder' season 3 spoilers: Wes to emerge stronger; will Frank redeem himself to Analise?

(Facebook/HowToGetAwayWithMurder)Wes will reportedly emerge stronger next season.

The web of lies that Professor Annalise Keating had spun came back to snare her in the previous season of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2. But how will Annalise and the Keating 5 move forward now that Frank Delino is in the wind and Wallace Mahoney was murdered in front of Wes?

The previous season saw the Keating 5 learning the hard way what it meant to work for Annalise (Viola Davis). Not only were they forced to cover up Asher's (Matt McGorry) murder of the Assistant District Attorney, Wes (Alfred Enoch) also learned the truth about Annalise's involvement in his mother's death. Meanwhile, Laurel (Karla Souza), and subsequently Annalise, learned about Frank (Charlie Weber) murdering Lila.

The fallout from the two revelations will reportedly color the next season of "How to Get Away with Murder." With Frank clearing out of his apartment in the finale, fans have been wondering whether Weber will still be part of the cast in season 3. The 37-year-old told TV Line that as far as he knows, he's still a series regular next season, but how his character's story will unfold is up to showrunner Pete Nowalk. However, the former model admits it would be interesting to see how the show will handle this major shift in Frank's relationship with Annalise, Bonnie, and even Laurel.

"But you know, it's not about Frank getting back on the team and going to court. He doesn't give a s–t about that," Weber explained. "He just wants things to be OK with Annalise."

Annalise's relationship with Wes will reportedly undergo a major change in season 3 as well. The promising young man's past was intricately intertwined with Annalise's, as his mother committed suicide in front of her. And with his knowledge of the truth about his mother's death and his mentor's role in it, Wes will reportedly emerge as a stronger person in season 3. As Nowalk explained to EW, Wes is "not the puppy anymore."

"He's much more mature and complicated," Nowalk said.

But whether or not Wes would want to continue to associate himself with Annalise, after all the lies she told him, is something that will be revealed next season.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 is expected to return to ABC sometime in September.
