Apple, Inc's "biggest advancement in iPhone history," iPhone 6 mobile is launching in Mainland China on Friday, Oct. 17.

"We are thrilled to bring iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to our customers in China on all three carriers at launch," said Apple's CEO Tim Cook.

"With support for TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus customers will have access to high-speed mobile networks from China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom for an incredible experience."

The announcement sparked worries within the grey market, where iPhone 6 sells $2,000 to $3,000.

This prompted them to slash significant amount from their current pricing as the legitimate launch nears.

Apple has gone through a rigorous process to convince the Chinese government that the new smartphones will not in any way have security "backdoors" that will allow the United States to access user data.

Pre-order of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus began in China last Friday, Oct. 10.

Both models will be available in three colors: gold, silver and space gray.

Suggested retail prices:

iPhone 6 16GB - 5,288 (RMB)
iPhone 6 64GB - 6,088 (RMB)
iPhone 6 128GB - 6,888 (RMB)
iPhone 6 Plus 16GB - 6,088 (RMB)
iPhone 6 Plus 64GB - 6,888 (RMB)
iPhone 6 Plus 128GB - 7,788 (RMB)

Analysts are positive that the iPhone 6 release will take China by storm, especially because this market prefers larger screens.

Aside from dominating markets across North America, Apple's newest iPhone models are also doing really well in Japan, with the iPhone 6 64GB models having the largest demand.

China is currently experiencing political and economic holdups with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang failing to control policies backed by vested interests of a select few.

A recent report by Taiwanese Digitimes claims that iPhone 6 pre-orders in China have already exceeded 20 million units.
