Rumors have been going round and round the Internet for the past couple of months regarding the release of "Iron Man 4" and if Robert Downey Jr. will still reprise his role if the movie goes into production. In the meantime, the actor may be responding indirectly through his social media posts.

RDJ has always been active on social media, constantly posting about many things, especially comedy and sometimes even about current issues. He also pokes fun at some of his co-stars and also at himself, but recently, it seems that he has been posting a lot about his iconic role in the massive franchise "Iron Man."

Just this Wednesday, the "Avengers" star took to Facebook and uploaded a photo from Marvel's Tumblr page where his face is plastered into the comic book version of "Iron Man." Though he didn't say anything about "Iron Man 4," the actor did tease: "Suiting up."

Since the actor has always been mysterious about his remarks on reprising his role for the highly anticipated sequel, it seems that he is starting to open up to the possibilities. After all, some of his fans are apparently un-accepting of speculations that he will be replaced by a younger female actress in "Iron Man 4."

Ever since Marvel unveiled the new face of the "Iron Man" comic books a few months back, fans have been worried about RDJ's fate in the franchise. Riri Williams has been proclaimed the new iron-clad hero and though there is no confirmation if the same story will be followed in the films, there's also a possibility that the comic book arcs will adapted in the movies since RDJ is getting older.

At the moment, there are three unannounced films from Marvel Studios. It has yet to be revealed if "Iron Man 4" will be one of them but some speculate that the film may not happen until after 2020 since there are still other movies in the lineup for the next three years.
