Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole fans may not see the arrival of the two artists' collaboration album this month.

The reason behind it is because both rappers are busy with their solo projects. Kendrick Lamar is likely to bring out a joint project with Drake, whereas J. Cole is all set to launch a South African tour. However, depsite their solo projects, other popular rappers keep talking about Kendrick and Cole. Recently, American rapper and producer Masta Ace mentioned Kendrick and Cole's works.

"I'm excited about the fact that artists like Kendrick Lamar, J-Cole, and Joey Badass are out selling some of the other more negative stuff out there," Masta Ace writes, according to HipHop.

Before him, popular lyricist Royce Da 5'9'' praised Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.

"Kendrick Lamar is the exception to every rule in hip-hop. He sits in that very successful MC space by himself but he takes that hit. He doesn't sell the same number of records as Drake does. He may have to take that hit in sales to get the Grammy's and receive the creative accolades," Royce said.

Kendrick Lamar released his "Untitled Unmastered" after hearing a comment from LeBron James. Lebron asked Kendrick to release the untitled tracks of the previous album.

As a response, Kendrick dropped the album like a pleasant surprise through a contest. Although fans cannot expect the Kendrick and Cole album in April, fans will surely keep their hopes up.

There is a rumor that Kendrick and Cole have recorded a few songs for a joint album. American rapper and producer Oddisee revealed that he recorded a song that features Kendrick and Cole, but the same song was seen on Cole's album. This summer, J. Cole may go on tour with Drake, thus he may not touch the album for another two months. TDE President has not rejected the rumors about the joint album, even though Kendrick and Cole have never spoken about it.
