Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date rumored to be July 29

The next iPad and Macbook killer is now on its way to the market. Microsoft's fourth flagship for the "Surface Pro" series has been rumored to have a release date of July 29, 2015.

VCPost reports that, the next Surface Pro will be launched this coming July but has not specified a date. However, various sources like Tech Radar pin-points the specific release date, which is reportedly going to be on the 29th of July.

This expected release date has still not been confirmed by Microsoft but according to Newseveryday, the Surface Pro 4 is going to be the first device to ever run on Windows 10 and given that the OS is set for release on July 29, many fans have speculated that Microsoft will release the device alongside the new operating system.

According to IB Times, there will be two variants for the Surface Pro 4, the 12-inch and the high-end 14-inch. Though the screen size of both models is different from each other, the resolution on the hand will be the same. Both models will reportedly boast of a 2K resolution screen at 2160 x 1440 pixels, as mentioned on the same report.

Of course, aside from the screen size, VCPost also reported the rumors about the tablet-laptop's processor. The 12-inch model will be powered by a new fanless Intel processing chip, while the 14-inch will come with an i5 and i7 processor that has the latest Broadwell technology—which is the fifth gen Intel processor. The storage capacity of the Surface Pro 4 is reported to have a maximum of 1TB with RAM storage that can go up to 16GB.

According to expert analysis, the selling retail price (SRP) of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will start at $1,200 and can go up to $2,000.
