The whole 'NCIS' cast have now signed up for Season 12. The season started getting five series regulars with signings as their contracts already expired this spring.

According to TV Line, Michael Weatherly has a fresh deal to return on the cast for NCIS Season 12 and 13 with a new official signing that is good for two years, while Sean Murray, David McCallum, Rocky Carroll and Pauley Perrette already did their respective signing.

Series regulars Brian Dietzen, Emily Wickersham and Mark Hammon have other contract cycles.

However, followers of the American police drama TV series wonder if Ziva, the character played by Cote de Pablo, will be returning for Season 12. They are curious why she is not being kept by Tony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly) by harnessing today's technology such as video conferencing.

Showrunner Gary Glasberg shared with TV Line that many people don't want to entirely shut the door on Tony and Ziva being in touch, and he does not oppose the idea.

A press release of TheRanking.com said there really are a lot of fans who voted for De Pablo to return to CBS, and there is a grassroots movement online called BringCoteBack to encourage her to return to NCIS.

De Pablo herself previously told TV Guide it's great to have her character still alive on departure, as she can return anytime.

Season 12 filming will commence in late July, as told in an interview with England Golf Monthly by one of the cast members, Rocky Carroll. The shooting will go on till April next year.

Playing the director Leon Vance, Carroll shared that though it takes eight business days to finish the filming of an episode, with each day running 12 to 14 hours, it doesn't feel like work as he loves what he does.

The actor likewise said one of the reasons for NCIS being a hit is the simple tone of justice in it, on which America is based on and groomed.

The NCIS Season 12 is estimated to premiere between September 18 and 29.
