'NCIS' season 13 spoilers: Will Tony be killed off in episode 22?

(Facebook / NCIS)NCIS will work with FBI NCIS on the next episode of season 13.

Fans missed an episode from "NCIS" last week, but the team will be back this week with a more suspenseful and action-packed episode.

Titled "Homefront," the episode will explore the case of a teenager who thwarts a home invasion. Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will start to doubt the 14-year-old boy as he thinks that the teen is keeping important details from them.

On the other hand, Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) will head over to London together with Senior FBI Agent Fornell (Joe Spano) to pursue the case on a British spy named Jacob Scott (Vince Nappo) who escaped and is trying to get revenge on the NCIS team. As seen on the episode trailer, Vance will call up Gibbs to tell him that a mole exists in the NCIS team.

Meanwhile, the highlight of the episode is the appearance of the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. CBS had confirmed that Obama will guest star in the episode as part of the nationwide initiative, "Joining Forces," which supports veterans, service members and their families.

In the episode, Obama shares screentime with Harmon's Gibbs and a wife of a White House Marine during a meeting with military spouses.

"NCIS" is down to a few episodes more before its finale and fans can't wait to know what happens to Tony (Michael Weatherly) as he makes his exit. Speculations are rife that Weatherly's beloved character might die at the end of the season. If that happens, a lot of fans will be truly devastated.

However, showrunner Gary Glasberg has previously hinted that the finale will be an emotional one. Speaking to TVLine, Glasberg said, "People should absolutely be planning on some really serious, heart-wrenching moments. There'll be tissues involved."

On whether or not the character will die, Glasberg only shared that Tony will be "prominent all the way through this final episode," but fans will just have to expect for an "emotional roller coaster."

"NCIS" airs every Tuesday, 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
