There is no doubt that the Nexus 6, which was manufactured by Motorola for Google, was one of the best phablets to be released last year. However, this year, the iPhone 6s Plus has managed to steal the attention of tech enthusiasts. Here is how these two phablets fare in a face off.

Design

Though the Nexus 6 is the bigger device, it does not have a premium build and instead only has metal on its frame. Its front and back are made of plastic. As for colors, it only has two options, blue and white. It also lacks a fingerprint scanner — a feature present on the Apple device. As for the iPhone 6s Plus, its metal body is its most striking feature. It comes with a sleek design and rounded edges, which give it a premium appearance. It comes in four colors, silver, gold, space gray and rose gold.

Display

The Nexus 6 is ahead when it comes to display size and density but it does not have 3D Touch, a new technology present on its competitor, which can sense the amount of pressure the user is applying on the screen. The Nexus 6 has an AMOLED screen measuring 5.96 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 493 pixels per inch, while the iPhone 6s Plus has an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch.

Specs

Not much is known about the hardware of the device from Apple but it comes with the Apple A9 chipset, which is coupled with a CPU with two cores clocked at 2 GHz. As for the Nexus 6, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, along with a Krait 450 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU.

Memory

Both devices do not have memory slots, therefore, external storage cannot be added. As for RAM, the Nexus 6 is ahead with 3 GB, as the iPhone 6s Plus is said to have only 2 GB.

Camera

The camera of the Nexus 6 is a 13 megapixel version with optical image stabilization, a feature also present on the 12 megapixel camera of the iPhone 6s Plus. Both devices can shoot 2160p videos at 30 fps.

Price

The Nexus 6 costs $199 with a standard two-year contract from a carrier, while the iPhone 6s Plus costs $299 with a similar contract.
