The Nexus 6 is one of the biggest phablets available in the market, but competition arrived when the curved LG G Flex, which is of the same size, was released. Here is how the two devices compare.

Design

The G Flex has all the elements of a high-end phone, the only downside to it is that its body is made entirely of plastic. It has an ergonomic curve running along the length of its body which gives it a banana-like shape and a back panel covered with a layer of protection that heals minor scratches within minutes. As for the Nexus 6, its body is much larger and like the G Flex, is also completely made of plastic. However, there is metal band that runs along the rim of the device. Its back panel is also made of plastic and has a dimple with the Motorola emblem, since it manufactured the device for Google. Both the G Flex and the Nexus 6 come in blue and white.

Display

The display on the Nexus 6 is sharper. It uses an AMOLED screen measuring 5.96 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 493 pixels per inch. On the G Flex is a curved P-OLED screen measuring 6.0 inches with a resolution 720 x 1280 pixels and a density of 245 pixels per inch.

Specs

Both devices are fairly equal in terms of hardware. The Nexus 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a Krait 450 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU while the G Flex comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, a Krait 400 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.26 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU.

Memory

The Nexus 6 and the G Flex both do not have memory slots and so external storage cannot be added. In terms of RAM, the G Flex has 2 GB while the Nexus 6 has 3 GB.

Camera

The 13 megapixel camera on each device is pretty efficient, though the Nexus 6 gains an edge as it has optical image stabilization.

Price

The Nexus 6 costs $249 with a two-year contract, while the unlocked LG G Flex costs $434.
